I’ve discovered that tuna steaks are delicious if you smear a thin layer of Thai Green Curry paste on one side, griddle with that side down whilst smearing the other side. After 5 minutes turn over the steak over and griddle the other side for 5 minutes. Perfect tuna steak with a fragrant flavour.

I had such an enjoyable week with my grandparents last week. It was quite depressing when they went home and I had to go back to work.
On Monday 12th it was Nanny’s birthday. I took them to Saltaire. We had a wander around and went into Salts Mill. It hadn’t changed much from when I went with Laura in March but I still enjoyed it and we had a lovely cup of coffee in the diner there. On Monday evening we went down to the Ital for a birthday meal for Nanny. It was ‘2 for 1′ on all pasta and pizza dishes. I had a new dish on the menu that I’d not had before – ‘Penne Picante’ which was very nice.
On the Tuesday we went into Leeds. We took the train from Bradford Forster Square (the trains from Forster Square are so much nicer than the trains I travel on every day between New Pudsey and Leeds. and the route is much more scenic). I took Nanny and Grandad to the markets and we spent quite a while wandering around there because Leeds Kirkgate Market is massive.
The weather wasn’t so great on Wednesday so we decided not to go too far and went into Bradford. I took Nanny and Grandad on a quick tour around the centre and then we went and had a look in the tourist information in the City Hall, they had small exhibition set-up about attractions and some history of the area. We had lunch in Weatherspoons near the university (that bought back the memories) before heading over to the the Photography, Film and Television Museum.
On Thursday we went to Bradford Industrial Museum which was very interesting. Then on Friday we took the train to Skipton. We had a nice lunch in a little tea room and looked around the market. In the evening we went down to the Bradford Hilton for the Comedy Club.
We had a rest on Saturday but went out for a meal in the evening along with Nigel’s Mum and Dad at the Smith’s Arms in Beckwithshaw.
Nanny and Grandad left early on Sunday morning.
