I’ve gone from having no news to having lots of things to blog about, but no time to do so! It’s all been happening over the past week – since there’s been no progress on the drive we’ve been trying to make a start on sorting out the living room; I’ve had a busy week at work as we had to cancel a course due to the floods; I’ve a concert in Ilkley tonight and had 2 rehearsals for that this week…

I’ll update my blog this weekend!

I’ve not been neglecting my blog ‘on purpose’, it’s just that I’ve really not had anything even remotely interesting to write about. I’m still reading the same book I’ve been reading for about 2 months, so no reviews to post… We’ve not really been out anywhere lately as we’ve been trying to make sure we’ve got enough money for the new driveway… We were meant to be having a new driveway laid this week, but it had to be put off at the last minute… And I’m really annoyed because my skin’s turned really bad since I got back from Spain and now resembles a 15 year olds. {Sigh}. So basically, things have not really been that great lately.

Last week, as Nigel was off to the Isle of Man TT, I spent a few days at my mum and dad’s house. It was a really nice break, and extra good because my sister Claire was there too (we managed to get similarly timed flights into Alicante). We didn’t do much whilst we were there, which suited me fine – I read, did puzzles, played Scrabble with Claire, and just generally relaxed. The weather was nice – hot but not sweltering. Claire braved the swimming pool but I didn’t, it wasn’t quite warm enough for me yet. The flights home were a bit delayed – my flight was due in at 3:30am on Saturday but was 2 hours late; I got to bed at 6:00am.

The worst thing has been catching up at work this week.
